Unfortunately, I'm not listing as much as I would like.

I have it all worked out in my planner.
An update schedule.

I intend to list new product each week this month, focusing on a specific product each week.

This week... BOWZ!

And in future weeks, be sure to look for

HEADBANDS!
and
FEATHERS!
and
EARRINGS!

MORE BOWZ!

Preview

Okay, so the plan is to re-open my Etsy store (well, its technically not closed) around the New Year and have a bunch of new stuff to post.  I still have to take photos of everything, but I have in the works, some knitted bows, feather head bands and clips, skoods, and, of course, more jewelry.

Here is a small preview!

I haven't decided if I am keeping this one though or if I will list it. We shall see! I have such a hard time making stuff for the shoppe...

I want to keep it ALL!!!

PS - I even made a little clippy, Christmas style, to wear to the office Christmas Party tomorrow.  Had to pull out some broken vintage jewelry to make them purty!!!

WIWT - The One with the Cute Office Girl

Photobucket

The law office I work for is pretty small. Its just my boss and I. So, we don't really have a real dress code. Most days I can just wear jeans or whatever, but I try to dress cute when I know we have clients coming in. And when we have days like today, where we have a deposition scheduled in the office, I like to cute it up even more.

Seriously... I'm a mom, but I still want to look CUTE!!!

This emerald green shirt is one of my faves! I love the high neck and the color is so rich and awesome. The black skirt and tights were an easy match. The green really POP's against the black... but I need another color. Something that didn't match, so in turn, it would match... if that makes any sense to you?
And then I remembered this grey sweater hiding in the back of my closet. Cropped or just shrunk, I don't know, its still cute, with its ornate crystal buttons. Then I remembered the grey wedges I just got from VV. Throw on some coordinating baubles and good to go!
I don't know what it is about the grey. It's a non-color. But I think, because of that, its easily paired with pretty much any color... like green... or black.

Sweater - Macy's - old, probably bought on sale
Shirt - hand-me-down
Pleated Skirt - Gap via Goodwill $6
Tights - Assets by Target $10, on sale
Shoes - American Eagle via VV $5
Jewelry - Silpada Earrings $too much
Necklace - Made by my MIL

And in Etsy news... I re-listed a bunch of stuff in my shoppe today and plan on listing some new things I have made recently too. One of the items listed I am actually wearing today, its one of my favorite creations!

Crafty Weekend

Like I said, I was a crafty bird this weekend and it didn't stop with my mad ticket obsession.

I picked up this rad (and extrememly dated) owl necklace on Friday at a garage sale for $1. It was just the chain and owl and it had some ugly brass beads for eyes. I totally meant to take a before pic, but I forgot... I suck at that! Anyway, the final product turned out awesome! I am wearing it today, and since I designed it with all the multi colored pearls, it matches several pairs of earrings I have also made.

Very cool, right? Best $1 I ever spent!!

I also made a bunch of lightweight earrings with wooden beads, very earthy and spring-y. As always, I made a pair for me and a pair (or several) for the shoppe. They should be listed soon, hoping by tomorrow.

These are pretty big ones, but they are still pretty light and funky.

I have a feeling this pair might become my summer staple earrings. Very simple and outdoors-y and these ones are SUPER light, you can barely feel them in!

Check out the shoppe in a few days if you like the earrings!!!

Mission COMPLETION!

Photobucket

Finally finished the Custom Order I had on my plate. I had 2-4 weeks to complete it, and this week was my 4th week. I completely forgot to work on this at the retreat like I should have, but it's done and ready to ship and I really hope the mom likes it!

Wear Cute Earrings!

Photobucket
Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic!

So... turns out last night I was too tired to scrap. In fact, I fell asleep on the couch in the middle of The Office. Now you know that's tired. I did make some earrings though, during our "family time." Ya know, that time after dinner but before bed where the kid(s) is/are extra hyper and you are so beat all its all you can do not to put them to bed early? Yeah, during that time.

I made a bunch of earrings with glass pearls and they all turned out so pretty. I have to be careful when I make stuff for the shoppe, because so often I want to keep it myself. And because of this, I end up making two pairs of my favorites. All of the pearls are in beautiful, chipper, spring-y colors and hanging from silver hoops. All different colors and sizes, a wonderful menagerie!

I don't know if you noticed, but I don't use precious metals or semi-precious beads in my work. I like to use glass beads (which can be bought in BEAUTIFUL mixes from Shipwreck) and glass pearls and stainless silver findings. Not that I'm trying to make cheap stuff b/c while my prices are pretty low, the workmanship is definitely not.

I believe that all women should be able to afford fashionable and fun accessories without breaking the bank, especially in though economic times such as these. When I first got pregnant, I made a promise to myself that I wouldn't "let myself go," ya know...become a "mom." Fashion and accessories have always been important to me. I promised myself I wouldn't stop wearing big fabulous earrings. (And I haven't, even when Goose went through her pulling stage, which thankfully didn't last very long.) Just 'cuz I popped out a kid doesn't mean I have to change everything about myself. I still want to look good!

Sure you have to adapt your life, but having a kid doesn't mean you have to completely neglect yourself. I wear make-up everyday, I like big earrings, fun accessories, cute shoes, and pretty much anything the celebrities are wearing. Goose hasn't changed any of that. In fact, she's made it better b/c now I get to "style" her as well. I will be heartbroken when I don't get to pick out her clothes anymore. My hope is she will just grow up to be a mini-me and we can share clothes and earrings and secrets and Hubs can be the mean parent. Which I highly doubt, Hubs gives Goose whatever she wants and I end up being the bad guy. Always.

Anyway, there is my post about nothing important, unless you consider earrings important (which I do!) That said, please check out my ETSY STORE this weekend and buy some earrings to perk you up. The weather has been pretty nasty (everywhere but here...) and I know some pretty jewelry will be the perfect pick me up!

Unveiling my "Design Team"

Well, their sorta my design team. Basically I sent some Page charms to some scrapper friends and asked them to use them on a LO or card or really, in any way they wanted to show the different ways to use them. I've used them on some LO's before (here too) and right now I have one on my cell phone... they are very versitile!
